TPTh 6.05 Long Term Outcomes of Jotec E-Ventus Bridging Stent Grafts in Fenestrated Endovascular Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repairs: A Single Centre Study

Fenestrated endovascular aneurysm repair (FEVAR) enables treatment of complex abdominal aortic aneurysms involving visceral or renal arteries. Bridging stent grafts (BSGs) maintain target vessel perfusion and sealing integrity. The Jotec E-ventus BX balloon-expandable BSG has been widely used, but long-term outcome data remain limited. This study evaluates its long-term performance in FEVAR. A retrospective single-centre review was conducted of all FEVAR procedures between 2015 and 2020 using at least one Jotec BSG. Demographic, clinical and imaging data were obtained from electronic records. Primary outcomes were technical success rate and target artery instability (TAI), defined as occlusion, haemorrhage, or endoleak involving the target branch. Secondary outcomes included reintervention, all-cause mortality, and aneurysm-related mortality. 70 patients (median age 76 years; 97% male) underwent FEVAR with 174 Jotec BSGs (113 renal, 55 superior mesenteric, 6 coeliac). Median follow-up was 48.5 months with 24 patients followed-up for over 5 years. The technical success rate was 91.4%. 10 TAI events occurred: 5 occlusions, 4 endoleaks, and 1 haemorrhage. Freedom from TAI was 88.6% at 1-3 years and 87.1% at 5-8 years. 4 patients (5.7%) required reintervention, of which 1 patient required reintervention within the postoperative hospital stay. Survival was 94.3% at 1 year, 82.9% at 3 years, and 68.6% at 8 years. Aneurysm-related mortality occurred in two patients (2.9%). The Jotec E-ventus BX BSG demonstrates durable target vessel patency, low reintervention and minimal aneurysm-related mortality up to 8 years post-FEVAR, supporting its long-term reliability for complex endovascular aneurysm repair.
