NEMO (IKKγ) citrullination in microglia promotes neuroinflammation in the post-ischemic brain

It is suggested that PAD2 and PAD4 drive pro-inflammatory processes following cerebral ischemia by upregulating NEMO citrullination and subsequent IKK complex formation.
