Source-Free MT Evaluation Is Not MT Evaluation

QE should be reframed as a primary approach to source-grounded adequacy evaluation, rather than as a fallback motivated by missing references, and hybrid metrics whose designs explicitly prioritize source--hypothesis faithfulness are called for.
