The Effects of Small Changes in Power Output Below and Above the Maximal Lactate Steady State in Performance Fatigability in Older Females and Males.

Unlike previous reports in younger populations, older males and females exhibited similar fatigability profiles after slight manipulations in PO around the maximal lactate steady-state, suggesting sex-based differences in muscular endurance diminish with age.

Training Status Modulates Perceptual Responses During Constant-Load Cycling at Maximal Metabolic Steady State.

Training status modulates the time course of perceptual drift at MMSS, with higher perceptual responses in untrained than trained individuals, highlighting the importance of considering exercise duration when using perceptual scales to guide exercise at MMSS.
