Towards robust stance detection: data augmentation, model fine-tuning, and empirical benchmarking

Findings show that class-balanced training, evaluated under a leakage-free protocol, can close a substantial portion of the current performance gap and provide the first competitive baseline for stance detection in Sorani Kurdish news.
