Molecular Mechanism of Amino Acids for Stabilizing Protein Dispersions.

This study provides a direct molecular-level mechanism by which the adsorption of AAs stabilizes protein dispersions and demonstrates that proline induces net repulsive interactions among proteins, which is consistent with experimental observations.

Aromatic Fluorination Enhances the Hydrophobicity and Antimicrobial Activity of Magainin 2.

Analysis of reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography and circular dichroism spectroscopy demonstrated that incorporation of pentafluorophenylalanines effectively modulates the hydrophobicity and secondary structure of peptides.
