This multifunctional smart wound dressing is developed by integrating a chromogenic hydrogel with electrospun poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) fibers functionalized with quaternary ammonium moieties anchoring ionic silver to demonstrate outstanding cellular biocompatibility and real-time colorimetric detection of metabolically active microorganisms.
