Blocking the m6Am methyltransferase PCIF1 in macrophages attenuates colitis progression by preventing neuronal damage

It is demonstrated that colonic macrophage-mediated extracellular matrix (ECM) remodeling orchestrates enteric neuronal maturation and dictates colitis progression and the m6Am machinery is illuminated as a promising therapeutic target for preventing neuronal loss in IBD patients.

TIF1γ regulates stability of regulatory T cells during inflammation

It is shown that TIF1γ-deficient Treg cells lose Foxp3 expression and acquire effector phenotypes in a cell-intrinsic manner upon inflammatory challenge, and TIF1γ is identified as a critical regulator of Treg cell stability that restrains β-catenin–TCF7 signaling.
