Movement-specific effects of transcranial magnetic stimulation over premotor and parietal cortices after stroke

Background: Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) has been proposed to support post-stroke motor recovery, but the response may depend on the task and motor-network status. We aimed to compare how premotor and parietal stimulation affects performance across reach directions with different movement demands, in prepara...

Spinal cord stimulation modulates post-synaptic inhibition to improve arm neuromotor control after chronic stroke

It is hypothesized that SCS improves the neuromotor control of arm movement by strengthening both excitatory and inhibitory circuit function, and it is shown in three individuals with post-stroke motor symptoms that SCS enhances postsynaptic Ia reciprocal inhibition.
