A dual-module ECAS complex couples transcription elongation and RNA processing.

These findings establish ECAS as a chromatin-associated assembly that couples productive elongation with RNA processing and establishes Aqr as a highly expressed cell that profoundly impairs leukemia initiation, maintenance, and leukemia stem cell function in MLL-rearranged leukemia.

SARS-CoV-2 3CLpro inhibits the replication of influenza viruses through the cleavage of NP and PA

The data uncover a direct, enzyme-based mechanism by which SARS-CoV-2 can suppress influenza virus replication during coinfection and provide a molecular explanation for the sharp, global decline in influenza activity observed during the COVID-19 pandemic.
