Contribution of the NLRP3 rs10754558 (C>G) variant and inflammatory and hemostatic biomarkers to acute ischemic stroke outcome

Systemic inflammation was independently associated with mortality and unfavorable clinical outcomes after AIS and may partially explain a potential link between hemostatic alterations, the NLRP3 rs10754558 variant, and prognosis.

Investigation of PDCD1 Gene Polymorphisms and Haplotypes in COVID‐19 Severity and Outcome in a Brazilian Population

The findings suggest that these polymorphisms, although involved in COVID‐19 immunopathogenesis, are not suitable biomarkers for predicting COVID‐19 severity or clinical outcomes.
