Hesperidin attenuates methotrexate-induced cardiotoxicity: Modulation of Nrf2 antioxidant defense and NF-κB/iNOS proinflammatory signaling.

Results indicate that hesperidin effectively attenuates MTX-induced cardiotoxicity and that HES may hold potential as a supplementary agent to minimize the cardiotoxic complications associated with MTX regimens, warranting further investigation.

Empagliflozin shields brain from methotrexate toxicity: Nrf2/HO-1/GPX4 activation prevents ferroptosis and chemo-brain in rats.

BACKGROUND Methotrexate (MTX) can induce "chemo-brain," but mechanisms remain incompletely defined. Ferroptosis has been implicated in MTX toxicity. We investigated whether Empagliflozin (EMPA) protects against MTX-induced neurotoxicity by modulating ferroptosis-related pathways. METHODS Male Sprague-Dawley rats (n =...

Occupational Organophosphorus Pesticide Exposure and Metabolic Syndrome: Implications of PPARγ

The observed associations between PPARγ downregulation, metabolic disturbances, and oxidative and inflammatory markers suggest that PPARγ dysregulation may represent a potential mechanistic link between chronic OPP exposure and MS.
