Associations of sleep duration variability and depressive symptoms with gastrointestinal disease among middle-aged and older adults
It is found that changes in sleep duration were linked to gastrointestinal diseases, with depression playing a mediating role, which suggests that changes in sleep duration and mental health may help to prevent gastrointestinal disturbances.
