Circulating markers of organ damage associate with COPD in people with HIV: an exploratory proteomic analysis.

These findings provide exploratory evidence for candidate circulating organ damage markers of COPD in PWH and provide a basis for further studies into the mechanisms and immunopathology of this comorbidity, including studies in larger cohorts with HIV-negative comparator groups.

Increased high sensitivity C-reactive protein in more severe wheeze/asthma phenotypes in child- and adulthood in ALLIANCE

HsCRP was increased in adult asthmatics compared to HCs and was associated with several severity-related clinical characteristics, whereas ICS use in preschool wheezers was associated with lower hsCRP levels.
