Zero Trust Security in Computer Networks: A Bibliometric Mapping of Research Evolution

The rapid transformation of digital infrastructures, cloud computing adoption, Internet of Things (IoT) expansion, and increasing cyber threats have accelerated the need for advanced cybersecurity approaches beyond traditional perimeter-based defense mechanisms. Zero Trust Security has emerged as a strategic security paradigm that emphasizes continuous verification, identity-based access control, and adaptive protection across modern computer networks. This study aims to analyze the evolution, intellectual structure, and emerging research trends of Zero Trust Security through a bibliometric mapping approach. Data were collected from a scientific database and analyzed using bibliometric techniques, including performance analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis, citation analysis, co-authorship analysis, institutional collaboration analysis, and country collaboration mapping using VOSviewer. The findings reveal that Zero Trust Security research has experienced significant development, with network security, cybersecurity, and Zero Trust Architecture emerging as central research themes. Influential studies highlight the importance of authentication mechanisms, intrusion detection systems, blockchain integration, and secure architectures for cloud, 5G, and IoT environments. The thematic evolution indicates a shift from foundational security mechanisms toward intelligent and adaptive solutions involving machine learning, deep learning, federated learning, and privacy-preserving technologies. Collaboration analysis shows that research contributions are dominated by countries such as the United States, India, and China, while global cooperation continues to expand. This study contributes to the cybersecurity literature by providing a comprehensive overview of Zero Trust Security development and identifying future research directions toward intelligent, scalable, and resilient security frameworks for next-generation computer networks.

Cloud-Native Security in Informatics: A Bibliometric Analysis of Emerging Research

Fast development of cloud computing technologies has led to the emergence of cloud-native architecture, which created both new possibilities and challenges in the area of informatics, in particular cybersecurity. Being a set of flexible and scalable cloud-native technologies, such as containers, microservices, Kubernetes and DevOps, cloud-native environments imply complex security risks, such as data protection, network, identity and dynamic infrastructure management. The purpose of this study is to investigate the evolution, scientific structure and future research directions in cloud-native security by means of bibliometric approach. Academic publications were identified within relevant databases and analyzed by means of VOSviewer software to uncover trends in publications, co-occurrence of keywords, citation structures, authors' collaborations and international scientific networks. The results show that cloud-native security research started from basic issues, such as cloud computing, network security, and container technologies to develop into more sophisticated areas, such as DevSecOps, automation, artificial intelligence, anomaly detection, intrusion detection and intelligent cybersecurity systems. The analysis also indicates that the United States has a dominant role in global research contributions, supported by strong collaborations with countries such as India, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, and South Korea. Highly cited studies demonstrate that current research priorities focus on secure cloud architectures, serverless computing, cloud-native observability, container isolation, and autonomous security management. This study provides a comprehensive understanding of the research landscape and highlights future directions toward AI-driven security frameworks, zero-trust architectures, and automated defense mechanisms for resilient cloud-native ecosystems.

Bibliometric Analysis of Audit Analytics

The rapid advancement of digital technologies has significantly transformed auditing practices, leading to the emergence of audit analytics as an important research domain that integrates accounting, auditing, and data science. This study aims to examine the evolution, intellectual structure, influential contributions, and emerging research trends in audit analytics through a bibliometric analysis approach. Data were collected from the Scopus database using relevant keywords related to audit analytics and analyzed using VOSviewer to perform citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis, density visualization, and collaboration network analysis. The findings indicate that audit analytics research has experienced substantial development, particularly with the increasing adoption of big data analytics, artificial intelligence, machine learning, predictive analytics, blockchain, and automation technologies. Citation analysis identifies key contributions focusing on the role of big data and artificial intelligence in improving audit quality, audit judgment, fraud detection, and decision-making processes. The keyword analysis reveals that recent research trends have shifted from traditional analytical methods toward intelligent and automated audit systems that support continuous auditing and risk-based decision-making. Furthermore, collaboration analysis demonstrates the global nature of audit analytics research, with the United States emerging as the most influential contributor and strong research connections among countries and institutions. This study contributes to the literature by providing a comprehensive understanding of the development trajectory of audit analytics and identifying future research opportunities related to generative artificial intelligence, explainable AI, cybersecurity, and digital audit transformation.

A Bibliometric Analysis of the Balanced Scorecard

The Balanced Scorecard (BSC) has become one of the most influential strategic management frameworks for measuring and improving organizational performance by integrating financial and non-financial perspectives. Over the past decades, BSC research has expanded into various fields, including strategic management, sustainability, performance evaluation, organizational effectiveness, and information management. However, the overall development, intellectual structure, and emerging research directions of Balanced Scorecard literature remain insufficiently explored. This study aims to examine the evolution and research landscape of Balanced Scorecard studies through a bibliometric analysis approach. Data were collected from the Scopus database using relevant keywords related to Balanced Scorecard and analyzed using bibliometric techniques with VOSviewer, including citation analysis, co-authorship analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis, density visualization, and country collaboration mapping. The findings indicate that Balanced Scorecard research has experienced significant intellectual development, shifting from an initial focus on performance measurement and key performance indicators toward broader themes involving strategic planning, sustainability, environmental management, and organizational alignment. Citation analysis reveals that influential works by Kaplan and Norton, as well as studies related to stakeholder theory, sustainability balanced scorecard, and strategic performance measurement systems, represent the main theoretical foundations of this field. Furthermore, collaboration analysis highlights the global nature of Balanced Scorecard research, with the United States emerging as a central contributor connected with researchers and institutions worldwide. This study contributes to the literature by providing a comprehensive understanding of the development trajectory, dominant themes, and future opportunities in Balanced Scorecard research. Future studies are encouraged to investigate the integration of Balanced Scorecard with digital transformation, artificial intelligence, sustainability frameworks, and data-driven strategic management.

Digital Education as Learning-Transformation Infrastructure: Inclusivity, Competence, Data Ethics, and Workforce Readiness

Digital education is no longer enough to be understood as simply moving materials to online platforms; instead, it should be seen as a sociotechnical infrastructure that connects pedagogical design, human competencies, access, data, and educational governance. This article aims to analyze the contribution of digital education to learning quality, inclusivity, digital literacy, and job readiness, as well as to identify the conditions that determine its safe and sustainable implementation in Indonesia. This study uses a qualitative literature review with thematic synthesis of 66 journal articles, mostly published since 2020. The study results show that technology can enhance flexibility, interactivity, personalization, feedback, and access to learning resources, but its impact isn’t automatic. These benefits depend on teachers being ready, students’ self-regulation skills, how well the learning design fits, institutional support, and how curriculum integrates with 21st-century skills. Gaps in devices, connectivity, learning space, family support, and digital skills mean digital education could potentially reproduce inequality. The use of artificial intelligence and learning analytics also brings risks like algorithmic bias, excessive monitoring, privacy violations, lack of transparency in decisions, and cognitive dependency. This article suggests a layered implementation framework that includes inclusive infrastructure, human capabilities, evidence-based pedagogy, data governance, and ecosystem collaboration. Effective digital education should therefore be evaluated based on the quality of learning and fairness of outcomes, not just the level of technology adoption

Sustainable Natural Resource and Environmental Management: A Review of Adaptive Governance, Benefit Distribution, and Implementation Challenges

Management of natural resources (NR) and the environment often creates a gap between sustainability commitments and the benefits that stakeholders actually receive. This article aims to explain how ecological, economic, social, health, cultural, and educational benefits are formed, as well as to identify barriers and strategies for fair implementation. The study uses a qualitative literature review that is integrative and interpretative, analyzing reputable journal articles since 2020, with purposive-iterative searching, conceptual coding, cross-source comparison, and thematic-narrative synthesis. The findings show that sustainability benefits are formed through protecting natural capital, maintaining ecosystem services, reducing risks, strengthening local rights and capacities, and recognizing the plurality of values and knowledge. However, these benefits don't automatically spread evenly. Social-ecological complexity, institutional fragmentation, tenure conflicts, power imbalances, limited funding and data, weak enforcement, short-term market pressures, and symbolic participation often turn policies into mere administrative compliance without real improvements. This article proposes adaptive, polycentric, ecosystem-based, and equitable governance that integrates clear rights, benefit-sharing, cross-sector coordination, long-term funding, open data, participatory monitoring, and policy correction mechanisms. The main contribution of the article is a five-layer analytical framework connecting ecological boundaries, values and benefits, actors and power relations, institutions and instruments, as well as multidimensional outputs. This framework emphasizes that success isn't just measured by compliance or the scale of programs, but by the integrity of the ecosystem, the fairness of benefits, the legitimacy of processes, and long-term resilience

Bibliometric Analysis of Value Creation

Value creation has become a central concept in management, innovation, marketing, and sustainability research due to the increasing complexity of business environments and the emergence of new technological and organizational paradigms. This study aims to examine the intellectual structure, research trends, influential contributions, and future directions of value creation research through a bibliometric analysis approach. Data were collected from the Scopus database using relevant keywords related to “value creation,” and analyzed using VOSviewer to perform keyword co-occurrence analysis, citation analysis, author co-citation analysis, institutional collaboration analysis, country collaboration analysis, and thematic evolution mapping. The findings reveal that value creation research has developed through several major streams, including business model innovation, innovation capability, sustainability, value co-creation, service-dominant logic, digital transformation, and ecosystem perspectives. The citation analysis identifies business models, customer value, co-creation, and digital transformation as the most influential foundations shaping the field. Furthermore, the temporal analysis demonstrates a shift from traditional value generation perspectives toward emerging themes involving artificial intelligence, circular economy, sustainable business models, and digital ecosystems. The collaboration analysis highlights the dominant contribution of countries such as the United States, China, Germany, and other international research networks in advancing knowledge development. This study contributes by providing a comprehensive visualization of the evolution and current state of value creation research while identifying potential future research opportunities related to the integration of technology, sustainability, and collaborative ecosystems in creating multidimensional value.

Bibliometric Analysis of Local Government Financial Reporting

This study aims to examine the development, intellectual structure, and emerging research trends in the field of local government financial reporting through a bibliometric analysis approach. The study utilizes scientific publications indexed in the Scopus database and applies bibliometric techniques using VOSviewer to analyze publication trends, citation performance, keyword co-occurrence, co-authorship networks, institutional collaboration, and country contributions. The findings indicate that research on local government financial reporting has experienced significant development, with major research focuses centered on financial reporting, public sector accounting, transparency, accountability, and government financial management. Citation analysis identifies influential studies that emphasize voluntary financial disclosure, governmental accounting reform, IPSAS adoption, and e-government as important foundations in strengthening public sector accountability. The keyword analysis reveals that recent research directions have expanded toward sustainability, risk management, earnings management, and digital transformation, demonstrating a shift from conventional reporting practices toward broader governance and accountability perspectives. Furthermore, collaboration analysis shows that research activities are dominated by countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia, and Indonesia, although international collaboration remains concentrated among specific research networks. This study contributes to the existing literature by providing a comprehensive mapping of knowledge development and identifying future research opportunities in local government financial reporting, particularly regarding technological innovation, sustainability-oriented reporting, and institutional reform in public sector financial governance.

ESG Disclosure Research: A Bibliometric Analysis of Sustainability Reporting Trends

The importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure has been gaining prominence owing to the growing sustainability concerns across the globe. The objective of this study is to analyze the intellectual structure, evolution of research, and trends emerging in ESG disclosure literature. Data have been gathered from the Scopus database on the basis of the use of suitable keywords for ESG disclosure, sustainability reporting, and corporate sustainability. Bibliometric analysis techniques such as publication trend analysis, citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis, thematic evolution analysis, density visualization, and collaboration network analysis have been performed using VOSviewer. Results show that there is a notable trend in the area of ESG disclosure literature owing to increased adoption of sustainability standards and regulations as well as sustainable investments. It has been found that the major themes in the area of ESG disclosure include sustainability reporting, ESG, sustainable development, corporate governance, and ESG performance. Furthermore, recent research trends have shifted toward emerging issues such as ESG regulation, greenwashing, sustainable finance, firm value, and investor responses. Citation analysis identifies mandatory sustainability reporting, ESG performance, governance mechanisms, and the financial implications of ESG disclosure as the primary intellectual foundations of the field. Collaboration analysis demonstrates that ESG disclosure research has expanded globally, with significant contributions from countries such as the United States, India, Italy, Indonesia, and European nations. This study contributes to the ESG literature by mapping the current research landscape, identifying influential contributions, and highlighting future research opportunities related to ESG standardization, reporting credibility, digital sustainability reporting, and sustainable corporate strategies.

Teacher Digital Competence: A Bibliometric Analysis of Global Research Trends

The quick progress of digital technologies has significantly changed education processes and increased the necessity for teachers to have enough digital skills. Teacher digital competence has become one of the important issues to be researched with an emphasis put on digital technologies integration into the process of teaching, assessment, professional development, and learning. This study is devoted to analyzing the global trends in researches, intellectual structure, major contributions, and new research directions concerning the issue of teacher digital competence through the bibliometric analysis method. The data were collected in the Scopus database with the use of appropriate keywords linked to teacher digital competence, digital literacy, digital skills, and educational technologies. The publications were analyzed by means of bibliometric methods like performance analysis, citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence analysis, density visualization, thematic evolution, and collaboration networks analysis with the use of VOSviewer. The results prove a significant trend of the increasing interest to the problem of teacher digital competence, especially since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic when more and more online and technology-enhanced learning became common. It is possible to state that the major research themes include digital competence, digital literacy, teacher training, e-learning, digital transformation, and technology integration. Citation analysis highlights influential studies focusing on digital competence frameworks, teacher readiness, and digital transformation in education, while collaboration analysis identifies Spain and several European countries as major contributors to global knowledge development. Recent trends indicate a growing research interest in artificial intelligence, digital tools, and innovative learning systems. This study contributes to the existing literature by mapping the evolution of teacher digital competence research and identifying future research directions related to sustainable digital education, AI-supported teaching, and equitable access to digital learning environments.

Generative AI for Learning: A Bibliometric Mapping of Global Scientific Publications

The rapid advancement of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) has significantly transformed educational practices by introducing new possibilities for personalized learning, intelligent tutoring systems, automated feedback, and AI-supported knowledge creation. This study aims to explore the global research landscape of Generative AI for Learning through a bibliometric analysis of scientific publications indexed in the Scopus database. A comprehensive literature search was conducted to identify relevant publications, followed by performance analysis and science mapping using VOSviewer. The analysis examined publication trends, highly cited literature, keyword co-occurrence, citation networks, author collaboration, institutional contributions, and international research patterns. The findings reveal that research on generative AI in learning has experienced substantial growth, particularly following the emergence of ChatGPT and large language models. The intellectual structure of the field is dominated by three interconnected themes: technological advancement of artificial intelligence, educational integration of AI-based learning systems, and human-centered considerations including AI literacy, critical thinking, ethics, and responsible adoption. Influential publications highlight both the opportunities and challenges of generative AI, including improvements in learning effectiveness, academic transformation, assessment challenges, and potential cognitive impacts. Furthermore, collaboration analysis indicates that the United States plays a central role in global research networks, while contributions from countries across Asia, Europe, and other regions continue to expand. This study provides a comprehensive understanding of the evolution, current trends, and future directions of Generative AI for Learning research, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and responsible AI implementation to support sustainable educational innovation.
