Pseudomonas effector AvrC is a rhamnosyltransferase with broad substrate specificity

It is shown that AvrC is a glycosyltransferase with auto-rhamnosylation activity, an elusive Pseudomonas syringae avirulence effector protein with significant sequence and structural similarity to AvrB.
