Figure S2

Figure S2. Renal expression profile of qPCR-assessed candidate miRNA target genes in CLP and sham piglets. The horizontal bar plot shows log2 fold changes in renal mRNA expression in CLP relative to sham kidneys after normalization to 18S rRNA. Positive and negative values indicate higher and lower expression in the CLP group, respectively. Genes are ordered by the magnitude of the CLP-versus-sham log2 fold change. Significantly upregulated genes are distinguished from genes that did not meet the predefined statistical criterion. PTGS2, FOS, AKT1, KLF6, NFKB1, and SMAD2 were significantly upregulated. Several additional genes, including CXCL10, MAPK14, SIRT1, FGF2, EGFR, VEGFA, SOD2, TGFB1, CCL2, WT1, TRAF6, MAP2K1, CASP3, MYD88, and SOCS3, showed positive expression changes but did not meet the significance criterion. IRAK1, SMAD7, HMGB1, HMOX1, and STAT3 were among the genes with negative expression changes. qPCR fold-change values from individual biological replicates were log2-transformed, and CLP and sham groups were compared using Welch's two-sample t-test. Statistical significance was defined as nominal P < 0.05. CXCL10, C-X-C motif chemokine ligand 10; MAPK14, mitogen-activated protein kinase 14; SIRT1, sirtuin 1; FGF2, fibroblast growth factor 2; EGFR, epidermal growth factor receptor; VEGFA, vascular endothelial growth factor A; SOD2, superoxide dismutase 2; TGFB1, transforming growth factor beta 1; CCL2, C-C motif chemokine ligand 2; WT1, WT1 transcription factor; TRAF6, TNF receptor-associated factor 6; MAP2K1, mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 1; CASP3, caspase 3; MYD88, MYD88 innate immune signal transduction adaptor; SOCS3, suppressor of cytokine signaling 3.
