TroLEAP2-21 is characterized as a short LEAP2-derived peptide with antibacterial and immunomodulatory activities, associated with improved survival and reduced tissue damage in V. harveyi-infected T. harveyi infection, suggesting its potential involvement in antibacterial defense.
