It is suggested that medication-induced micronutrient disturbances may act as modifiable contributors to anemia, mineral-bone disorder, cardiovascular risk, and immune dysfunction in early-stage CKD, and routine nutritional monitoring alongside pharmacotherapy may therefore represent an important preventive strategy.
