Temporal lobe epilepsy and depression: a dysfunctional lobe overshadows a sclerotic hippocampus.

The study shows that presence of depression in drug-resistant patients with mesial temporal lobe epilepsy is linked to hippocampal disfunction rather than neuronal density in the hippocampus.
