Biodegradation of plastics by the phosphorus-solubilising cyanobacterium Chroococcus sp.

This study examined the phosphorus-solubilising ability of autotrophic cyanobacteria carrying the phoD gene to weaken polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene terephthalate (PET) through phosphorus scavenging via phosphorus scavenging.
