Internal quality management factors and organisational performance of brewing companies in Southwest Nigeria

The study examined the effect of internal factors on performance of brewing companies in southwest Nigeria. A descriptive survey research design was adopted; Data was collected through the distribution of structured questionnaires administered to the respondents selected for the study. The total population for the study was 1671; Taro Yamane was used to get a sample size of 323 respondents from that number. Meanwhile, from the 323 copies of questionnaire distributed, only 320 copies were returned and used for the study. Both descriptive and inferential statistics were adopted to analysis the data collected for the study using SPSS 23 version. The result of the study indicated that Employee involvement (t=2.806, p< 0.05) influence performance of the selected brewing companies significantly. Also, it was found that continuous improvement (t=4.462 p<0.05) had a significant positive effect on performance of the selected respondents in the study area while top management commitment (t=1.401 p>0.05) had no significant positive impact on the performance of the selected brewing companies. The study concludes that evidences existed that the internal factors being tested were necessary requirements for performance of brewing companies in southwest Nigeria.
