ARDepth: Auto-regressive Monocular Depth Estimation with Progressive Visual Conditioning

Diffusion models have recently become the dominant paradigm for monocular depth estimation (MDE). However, they implicitly assume that depth can be recovered as a globally smooth field through iterative denoising, which does not explicitly reflect the piecewise and scale-dependent organization of scene geometry. In practice, geometric structure emerges progressively across spatial scales, where coarse layout, surfaces, and boundaries are constructed in a hierarchical manner. Motivated by this observation, we introduce ARDepth, which formulates depth estimation as structured auto-regressive generation. Instead of recovering depth through global refinement, ARDepth progressively constructs depth representations as spatial resolution increases. To support this generative process, we introduce Scale-Progressive Conditioning (SPC) to inject multi-scale visual features at each generation stage, and Semantic-Aware Guidance (SAG) to provide scene-level semantic priors that enhance global structural consistency. Together, these designs enable the model to capture fine-grained local details while maintaining coherent global geometry. Empirical results demonstrate that our approach achieves strong performance and produces structurally consistent depth predictions across scales, validating auto-regressive generation as a promising alternative paradigm for geometric modeling.

MoRoute: Dynamic Routing for In-Context Multimodal Video Generation

Multimodal video generation aims to generate and edit videos conditioned on arbitrary combinations of text, images, and videos within a single model, allowing diverse tasks to share complementary data and generative priors. Unifying these tasks requires multimodal understanding of diverse conditions, which is typically provided by a pretrained vision-language model (VLM). A key challenge is how to connect the VLM's hierarchical multimodal representations with a pretrained video diffusion transformer (DiT). Existing methods either inject features from only the final or a few manually selected VLM layers, or jointly train architecture-matched understanding and generation streams, making it difficult to reuse heterogeneous pretrained backbones. We introduce MoRoute, a unified multimodal video generation framework that formulates a frozen VLM and a pretrained video DiT with different architectures as heterogeneous experts connected through dynamic layer routing. For each input, a lightweight block-wise router enables every DiT block to select the VLM layer most relevant to its generation stage, thereby learning an adaptive correspondence between multimodal understanding and video synthesis. MoRoute further incorporates reference images and source videos directly into the DiT token sequence through unified in-context conditioning, preserving fine-grained visual details across diverse generation and editing tasks. Experiments on IntelligentVBench, OpenVE-Bench, and RefVIE-Bench show that MoRoute consistently surpasses the best competing method on each benchmark, improving the average score by 0.15, 0.18, and 0.34 on a 1-5 scale, respectively.

SCOUT: Self-Checking and Recovery-Aware Tool-Thought Agents for Ultra-Long Egocentric Video Reasoning

Ultra-long egocentric video understanding requires reasoning over temporally sparse evidence distributed across hours or days, challenging current multimodal models with limited context and the grounding of key video segments. While Chain-of-Tool-Thought (CoTT) agent systems enable iterative retrieval and inspection, they suffer from error propagation due to rigid zoom-in strategies that lack recovery mechanisms. In this work, we address these challenges through SCOUT (Self-Checking Chain-Of-Tool-thought), a recovery-aware agentic framework introducing an adaptive policy that evaluates intermediate tool observations and dynamically trades off exploitation (zoom-in) and exploration (region switching), enabling robust multi-hop reasoning over extremely long horizons. However, training such multi-turn tool-using agents remains challenging, as existing RL methods rely on sparse outcome-level rewards and lack supervision over extended decision trajectories, resulting in suboptimal credit assignment for long-horizon reasoning. To address this, we develop UPS-GRPO, an uncertainty-prioritized policy optimization method that concentrates exploration on high-uncertainty post-tool states while preserving sample efficiency. We further introduce a turn-level advantage decomposition that integrates outcome rewards with tool-grounded temporal alignment rewards for improved credit assignment. Experiments show that SCOUT achieves state-of-the-art results on ultra-long egocentric benchmarks, while remaining competitive on shorter-horizon long-video settings.
