Bailout cardiac surgery in patients undergoing transcatheter aortic valve replacement: a comprehensive analysis of post-marketing safety reports

In this MAUDE analysis, bailout cardiac surgery after TAVR was most commonly precipitated by valve embolization, migration, or malposition, whereas ventricular perforation or laceration was associated with the highest reported mortality.
