Sensor-Based Monitoring System to Ascertain the Temperature, Humidity and Air Quality of an Environment

Air pollution has become one of the major environmental challenges affecting human health, climate conditions, and overall quality of life. Traditional methods of monitoring air quality are often expensive, less accessible, and unable to provide real-time predictions for preventive actions. This paper focuses on the designing an Air Quality Monitoring System capable of monitoring environmental air conditions to ascertain the temperature, humidity and air quality of an environment the system is designed to collect air quality parameters such as temperature, humidity, smoke concentration, and harmful gas levels using sensors connected to a microcontroller. The collected data is processed and analysed to determine the quality of air within a particular environment. In addition, the system aims to provide users with real-time monitoring, accurate data analysis, and timely alerts whenever air pollution levels exceed acceptable standards. The implementation of this work demonstrates that an affordable and intelligent air quality monitoring system can contribute significantly to environmental safety and public health management.
