Killer whale responses to pilot whale sound: Exact reconstruction and matched whale robustness audit
An exact reconstruction of the published order-adjusted killer-whale movement model reproduces the pilot-whale-sound coefficient (beta = -82.134, robust p = 0.02064), but only two of five matched animals show the expected within-whale direction and the exact paired sensitivity is nonsignificant (p = 0.40625). This public technical report documents a small-sample aversive-response prior, not an independent replication, signal gloss, language claim, or translation.
