Bone graft augmentation reduces complications in osteosynthesis of proximal humerus fractures: A meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials.

Patients undergoing PHF osteosynthesis with BG had a lower rate of complications and a shorter healing time and less pain was also observed in patients receiving biologic BG with their PHF osteosynthesis.

Low bone density and post-operative outcomes following revision total shoulder arthroplasty

A documented diagnosis of LBD is associated with higher rates of periprosthetic fracture following rTSA, and sub-group analysis suggests that this association is primarily driven by patients with osteoporosis, whereas osteopenia alone was not associated with increased fracture risk.
