Hypoxia-Inducible Factor-1α Gene (HIF1A) rs11549465 (1772 C>T) Polymorphism, Body Mass Index, Smoking, and Cutaneous Melanoma: An Observational Case–Control Study

Head/neck melanoma showed higher frequencies of the rs11549465 CC genotype combined with obesity and several smoking-related exposures than melanomas at other sites and healthy controls, and these findings should be considered exploratory.

Interleukin-1β Gene (IL-1B) rs16944 (-511 C > T) Promoter Polymorphism Is Associated with Cutaneous Melanoma Susceptibility, Stage, and Anatomical Localization in a Northern Italian Case–Control Study

The genotype and allele frequencies of the interleukin-1β gene (IL-1B) promoter polymorphism rs16944 (-511, C > T) in cutaneous melanoma patients and healthy controls from Northeastern Italy revealed a possible candidate marker associated with melanoma susceptibility, Stage IV status, and lower-extremity localization.

Interleukin-1β Gene (IL1B) rs1143634 (+3954 C>T) Polymorphism and Cutaneous Melanoma Risk: An Observational Case-Control Study in Northeast Italy

Preliminary findings suggest a possible association between IL1B rs1143634 T allele carriage and cutaneous melanoma susceptibility in this cohort, and the Stage IV and upper-limb observations should be considered hypothesis-generating.
