Functional characterization of the grape VvCAD15-like gene in enhancing cold tolerance via regulation of lignin biosynthesis

Data indicate that VvCAD15-like promotes cold tolerance possibly through cell wall reinforcement, ROS scavenging, and CBF pathway activation, the first report on VvCAD15-like function in grape cold tolerance, revealing its non-canonical role beyond lignin biosynthesis.

Jasmonate ZIM-domain protein 2 orchestrates ABA/JA signaling and flavonoid biosynthesis to suppress cold tolerance in grapevine.

Findings suggest that VvJAZ2 may function as a potential regulatory node, and support a working model of a dynamic "transcription-protein interaction" module to coordinate hormone signaling and metabolic reprogramming under cold stress.
