Multimodal modeling of the ictal onset zone in refractory insular epilepsy and seizure outcome of magnetic resonance-guided laser interstitial therapy: A pediatric single-center retrospective study.

Evaluating seizure outcomes after magnetic resonance-guided laser interstitial thermal therapy (MRgLITT) in children with insular epilepsy and assessing how the extent of ablation overlaps with multimodal definitions of the ictal onset zone (IOZ) found MRgLITT to be an effective and safe treatment option.

Early sodium channel blocker initiation is associated with better outcomes in KCNQ2 disorders.

Earlier SCB initiation was associated with earlier seizure offset and more favourable developmental outcomes, underscoring the importance of early genetic diagnosis and timely SCB therapy, and the use of SCBs, particularly CBZ and OXC, as first-line therapy in (LOF) KCNQ2-DEE and SeL(F)NE is supported.
