Loss of glucokinase function relieves carbon catabolite repression in basidiomycetous yeast Pseudozyma antarctica.

Results indicate that disruption of the glucokinase gene considerably reduces the cost of the PaE-producing medium and facilitates the efficient production of useful proteins in basidiomycetous yeasts.
