Diagnostic Accuracy of Machine Learning-Enhanced Methods for Pulmonary Hypertension: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Background/Objectives: Right heart catheterization (RHC) is the diagnostic gold standard for pulmonary hypertension (PH), defined as mean pulmonary arterial pressure (mPAP) greater than 20 mmHg at rest. It is invasive and carries procedural risk. Machine learning (ML) and deep learning (DL) applied to non-invasive moda...

Utilizing Structured Peer-Assisted Learning In Undergraduate Clinical Research Training: A Quasi-Experimental Study

Participation in the structured PAL program was associated with improved research knowledge and positive perceptions among undergraduate medical student participants, and PAL may serve as a feasible and scalable adjunct to faculty-led research training, particularly in resource-limited settings.

Differential impact of catheter ablation across heart failure phenotypes in atrial fibrillation: a grade assessed systematic review and meta-analysis

Atrial fibrillation (AF) is highly prevalent in heart failure (HF) and is linked to increased mortality and hospitalization in both preserved (HFpEF) and reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF). Catheter ablation (CA) has emerged as an effective rhythm-control strategy beyond medical therapy (MT), but phenotype-specifi...

Correlation of Echocardiographic Right Ventricular Functional Parameters with CMR-Derived Right Ventricular Ejection Fraction in Pulmonary Hypertension: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

RV-FWLS showed the highest numerical and most consistent association with CMR-derived RVEF, suggesting that it may serve as a useful non-invasive adjunct for RV assessment in PH, especially where CMR is not readily available.
