PHASE MEASUREMENTS ACCURACY UNDER CONDITIONS OF INTERFERENCE WITH NON-IDEAL CHARACTERISTICS OF PHASE MEASUREMENT ELEMENTS

Using the phase of a signal as an informative parameter usually allows for the highest efficiency of signal isolation from interference and the accuracy of estimating its parameters. However, in some cases, in particular in conditions of intense interference and fluctuations in signal parameters caused by the movement of a moving object, a decrease in the information content of the phase caused by its "jumps" into neighboring phase cycles may cause a deterioration in the quality of functioning of the equipment of radio engineering systems, which makes it advisable to exclude the phase from the vector of measured parameters. The study of this issue was carried out in the work by comparing the characteristics of synchronization systems for communication and navigation equipment with phase and frequency auto-tuning of the frequency of the reference oscillator. At the same time, it was assumed that the equipment was located on a mobile object and operated in conditions of intense interference.
