This review summarizes the current evidence on non-antibiotic therapeutics including bacteriophages, antimicrobial peptides, anti-virulence agents, monoclonal antibodies, microbiome-based therapies, CRISPR-Cas systems, nanoparticles, photodynamic therapy, repurposed non-antibiotic drugs and combination strategies.
